Medicine

Sikandar Madad was born in Amroha in 1943, Saiyeda in Rawalpindi in 1947. Their paths crossed at Nishtar Medical College. They married, moved to America, and spent their lives healing others—he as a urologist, she as a pediatrician.
Sikandar practiced urology until his retirement in 2008. Saiyeda cared for children for over three decades. Both were known for their patience and warmth.
Beyond their clinics, they served. Sikandar helped found Anjuman Wazifa and supported Imamia Medics International. Saiyeda's work with children extended to families who couldn't always pay. Medicine was never just a job.
Sikandar faced ALS with dignity. He died peacefully on July 19, 2020. Saiyeda lived with dementia in her final years. She passed on March 29, 2024. They are buried together at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai, New York.
They are survived by their son Ali, daughters Dr. Shirin Kao and Asma, and six grandchildren. The family asks that you remember them in prayer.
